Description
Hydroponic Italian Basil – Sweet Genovese Leaves from Our Noida Farm
Italian basil – the Genovese variety – is the herb behind pesto, Margherita pizza, caprese salad and tomato pasta sauces. Its large, glossy leaves have a sweet, peppery, clove-like aroma that dried basil can never match.
We grow it hydroponically in a climate-controlled facility in Sector 59, Noida, using RO-purified, low-TDS water and a precisely measured nutrient solution instead of soil. No soil means no mud, grit or soil-borne contamination, we use no pesticides, and every bunch is harvested only after you order – so the aroma is at its strongest when it reaches you.

Frequently asked questions
Why does basil turn black in the fridge?
It is sensitive to cold – keep it in the warmest part of the fridge or in a glass of water on the counter.
Is this the same as tulsi?
No – Italian basil is sweet basil; tulsi (holy basil) is a different variety with a spicier aroma.
Is hydroponic basil the same as organic?
It is not certified organic. It is grown without soil in RO-purified water with no pesticides, which keeps it clean and consistent.
